Musicians for Musicians
Benefit - NOMC
The
Detroit chapter of Undercurrents will join the rest of the Undercurrents
National Music chapters in hosting a benefit for New Orleans musicians
who have been affected by hurricane Katrina.
The benefit will
be on Thursday, September 29th at 9 pm at
313.jac upstairs at
Jacoby’s located at 624 Brush St. in Detroit, around the corner from St.
Andrew’s Hall. 313-962-7067. Those 21 and over are welcome and $5 minimum
donation is suggested.
Performing will be the
“Rock City Showcase” hosts
Cowboy Messiah playing their eclectic style of rock along with indie
rock from
Murder Mystery, the acoustic stylings of
Greater Alexander,
Animal Chinz and Silent Violet.
Money raised by this
events will be donated to the
New Orleans Musicians Clinic (NOMC). The New Orleans Musicians'
Clinic is a wellness partnership serving professional musicians in the
metropolitan New Orleans area. The clinic is one of the few of its kind,
providing healthcare services for the city's musicians.
The New Orleans Musicians Clinic is determined to
keep Louisiana music alive!
