Latimer
began promoting events and concerts while in high school and has worked
with international stars and talent in numerous capacities throughout
his career. After
graduating from the Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University and brief stint at managing a
band of friends, Latimer's first real job in the entertainment business was finding and promoting
performances and events into
the Pirates Cove Nightclub located in the mecca entertainment district
of the day known as the Cleveland Flats Some of the early concerts promoted by Latimer included
acts such as
Duran Duran, Steppenwolf, The Police, Bon Jovi, Cout Basie Orchestra, The Pyschedelic
Furs, X, A Flock of Seagulls, Greg Allman & Dickey Betts, Levert, and
Wendy O Williams.
Latimer then went on to form Bullseye
Booking Agency, with partner George Paul, where Latimer put on the agent hat and booked
/ promoted acts in multiple
Eastern US States. Some of the acts include: The Romantics,
Robin Trower, I-Tal, The Violent Femmes, Three Dog Night, Rare Earth,
the Bodeens, and The Thompson Twins, Violent Femmes, The Godz, Spirit, and the Producers.
Latimer then formed Play Records,
with partner Mark Littnen, to help
promote some of the acts signed to his booking agency. The label
released thirteen albums including 3 multi-artist compilation albums: Exhibit A,
Exhibit B, and Exhibit C. One of the cuts features Trent Reznor of pre Nine Inch Nails playing keyboards..
As natural step for Latimer to further
promote music, Latimer co-produced and co-directed, with friend Tom
Common and Patirck Drouin, two television shows:
"Good Rockin' Tonight" and "Alternate Beat". Over 100 episodes
were cablecast to over one million homes in the U.S. in New York,
Cleveland, Chicago and San Francisco. These shows included music
videos, interviews and music news. Some of the acts Latimer worked
with on Good Rockin' Tonight and Alternate Beat include: The Red
Hot Chili Peppers, The Ramones, Echo and the Bunnymen, Adrian Belew. U2,
The Godfathers, Pere Ubu, R.E.M., Magadeath, and Jerry Harrison,
As Latimer's promoted more and more
shows, large companies started utilizing Latimer's skills for event
promotion. Latimer formed Events Unlimited to fill the niche.
Some of the acts included: Manhattan Transfer, Spiro Gyra, Bill
Cosby, and Charlie Daniels.
Undercurrents, Inc began as a annual
music industry conference, showcase and trade show in 1989.
Latimer teamed up with other music business professionals Lee Marshall,
Dewey Forward, Tony Ciulla, Michael Belkin and Mark Litten to book and promote
and full weekend of showcasing talent. During
one weekend of the year, over 150 acts perform for exposure to the music
and entertainment industry. Some
of the acts showcased include: Rusted Root, Mike O'Brien, The
Smithereens, Paul Sanderson, Dink, and Love/Hate. As
Undercurrents evolved, it has become a special niche marketing and
promotion company that not only books and produces shows but free holds
monthly educational forums about the music industry.

exposure through Rolling Stone Magazine, M-TV, VH-1, Global Satellite

outlets.
In 2007, Latimer began teaching at

as well as Independent Records. Courses are available online as
well as on-site in Cleveland. In addition, Latimer frequently

responsibilities of managing and promoting Waterband. This
folkadelicfunkpop party band, high on water-related philanthropy, is touring,
recording and making an international name within medicinal music.

Promotion" is now available through Latitunes Music Publishing.
